Free Pools!

Happy Friday RMT’ers! I am sure many of you are finding yourselves knee-deep if not in the deeper end of the pool as the weather gets more and more unbearably warm (ok, it’s hot!). And just as the phrase “FREE BEER” captures the attention of many American adults everywhere, the phrase “FREE POOLS” has about as much if not more of a draw with the American preschool- and elementary-aged set – and it’s music to my motherly ears as well.

Each summer, Lakewood Parks and Recreation – a city just a tiny splash out of Long Beach – opens several wading pools for toddlers up through elementary age. The pools are located around their little town at various playgrounds and parks.

Because it gets complicated to remember which of the pools are open which days and which times, I’m just going to post the schedule right here, not just for you, but for T and me, too!
