Splash Pad Is One Wet and Wild Play Date

Splash Pad at Sigler Park in Westminster, CA, offers cool times during the hot summer months.

Today we have our playgroup’s Third Annual End-of-Summer Splash Pad Play Date. Splash Pad as a non-pool, fountain-based water playground inside of Sigler Park in nearby Westminster, CA. Given the heat we’ve been having the last few days, the timing for this play date could not be better.

Watch out for the birds at the Splash Pad!

This is a play date that I’ve organized for our playgroup for the last two years, and turns out this year it was very popular right away. I think RSVP capacity topped out within two days of my asking who was going to come (50 people max), and I additionally had to wait-list a few folks. But of course, it’s summer, and some people’s plans changed over time, so my wait-list is a wait-list no more (hooray for that!). At any rate, we are looking forward to a fun time this morning with old friends – and we look forward to making some new ones, too.

While we book a private play date time for our playgroup, Splash Pad is open FREE to the public daily through the summer months Noon until 5pm. Check their website for the dates and times that remain for the 2011 season as Labor Day is fast approaching.

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, but as you can see, there’s nothing but good, clean (and soaking wet) fun waiting for all at the Splash Pad! Hope you’re staying cool this summer, too!

(By the way, today’s play date marks  T’s last official day of summer as he returns to school tomorrow… of course, I’ll be posting all about that soon enough. Stay tuned!)
