Hope everyone’s having a great St. Patrick’s Day so far! We’ve been celebrating since last week. Here’s how.
First, T wanted to make “Lucky Pennies” for all his classmates. I helped him because, well, that’s what mom’s do, especially moms who love St. Patrick’s Day as much as I do. Yeah, OK, so I got the idea from Pinterest originally, but we’ve put our own spin on them the last couple of years here. And thank goodness I discovered that our school has a die-cutter so we didn’t have to trace and hand-scissor all those shamrocks this time ’round!

T went a little crazy with the stickers. Many of them have beers or leprechauns holding beers because these were the ones we couldn’t send to school on his Lucky Pennies. Slainte!

The note says, “Dear Leprechaun, I want to trade your gold with me. If you don’t want to trade then I will trap you.”
Next, T wanted to make a “Leprechaun Trap.” He got this idea from school last year. This was never my idea nor had I ever heard of it before he started attending school, so I blame our local schools’ creativity for this one. Damn our schools and their creative energies! On the bright side, we can consider ourselves lucky that at least our local schools have remained creative.
While T didn’t trap a leprechaun at home (reports from school still forthcoming as the kids set traps there as well), the little dude(tte) did leave his/her mark by way of a few candies, a torn-down sign, and some green milk. T didn’t want to drink the milk, so I added it to my morning coffee instead. Yum.
T also had a lot of fun putting together his green outfit this morning. OK, I admit it, so did I.
I hope you all have a great, green-filled day, RMT’ers!
