T Tickles the Ivories (and Ebonies)!

Our after-school programs started this week, which means T started his keyboarding and piano lessons!

For just a mere $42, T will receive six once-weekly, half-hour lessons. He gets to sit with four of his fellow Kindergarten friends (the class is K only, which is nice!) and learn the beginning stages of playing piano and reading music. He even got a homework assignment that reviewed the “musical alphabet.” When I asked him about “every good boy does fine,” he had no idea what I was talking about. Hmm, maybe I am not remembering that right and T needs to sit me down for a music lesson!

I don't know what they're doing or why they have an index finger up in the air because I snapped this shot on the sly. Well, on the sly until T caught me, that is. Oops!

I hope to get a better peek at piano class as the weeks go by. This was the one quick shot I managed before T saw me in the auditorium.

One other benefit to the after-school programs: An extended school day for T… and for Mom. Bravo, PTA, and thanks!

What after-school activities do your kids participate in thanks to your school’s PTA or other district-wide programs?
