Dynamic Hobbies Grows Up with Its Customers

After the Hemet Museum, we stopped at one of T’s favorite places in Hemet, CA, Dynamic Hobbies, a store devoted to all hobbies plane, train, and automobile, amongst other non-transportation type models and playthings. Whether you’re looking for a bag of marbles for your youngest child, or a fancy flying contraption to show off at the model airfield located just down the road, no doubt that Dynamic Hobbies has what you’re looking for. And if they don’t carry it, I bet that they can get you in touch with someone who does, or at least connect you with someone who knows someone else who can help you out.

Calling all race fans on land, by air, or on rail! Dynamic Hobbies has what you're looking for with your next model fix whatever the mode of transportation.

Owners Bob and Mel Parcell have been in business at the downtown Hemet location for more than 22 years now. That I think is ample enough time to proclaim that generations of hobbyists young and old (and older with their youngest) have cycled through Dynamic Hobbies. Having said that, I think their longevity does their name justice in that as their clientele grows up, so do the hobbies. The store does a wonderful job keeping up with whatever your latest hobby obsessions. If that’s not a dynamic operation, I’m not sure what is!

T has been going over to Dynamic Hobbies for a few years now. We found out about it when T first got into trains around at around 1-1/2-years-old. My dad (T’s JoePa) took us over for T to check out the model train set-ups that he’d heard about. RMT’ers, while this looks like an elaborate waste of retail space to a more business-focused person, Owner Bob assures visitors that this display is a huge draw for train enthusiasts into his store from Hemet and beyond. And once a train enthusiast enters his store, well, they tend to buy stuff. Smart man, that Bob!

Also, it’s not just stuff that’s sold at Dynamic Hobbies; they pride themselves on customer service and repairs, too. In fact, it was here that my Dad got connected with someone to help him restore his childhood Lionel set for T this past Christmas. OK, when I say help, I mean my Dad hired the guy to do a complete overhaul on the train and all its parts and pieces. Thanks again to Scott for all your hard work! To say we are enjoying it would be a grand understatement.

This wooden train table could tell a lot of "T" stories over the years. Please note that sadly, Dynamic Hobbies doesn't carry these types of toys... just the fancier ones, RMT'ers.
